2009
We had a more relaxed day today. After breakfast Joe and Matt left to examine a well project and some of the ladies wanted to get measured for dresses. So, we all sorta went our separate ways. Pr. Bonnie, Joan, Cheryl, Shelly and Anna went to the market. It was fun to barter for the souvenirs we bought. Pr. Bonnie explained the bartering system. You don’t barter for essentials but souvenirs, the pieces of cloth we bought, etc. are up for bartering. Anna was doing a great job -Dinner was by invite. One of P.bonny friend invited us into his home. It was delightful to see him. There were many family members there - one being a bright young man named Nuhu.Today’s funny: Pr. Bonnie is an interactive listener. She asked Nuhu his name and how to spell it. He carefully spelled Nuhu (Noah) and then gave his second name, Peter. “How do you spell that?” Pr. Bonnie asked. We will never forget P - E - T - E - R (soooo very funny!) With each letter he gives, she is intently listening and writing it down and nodding, yes, yes. We told Pr. Bonnie that we hope it doesn’t come up in a future gospel lesson and that she doesn’t see any of us in the congregation because we will most certainly crack up and get her cracking up as well.
